Our Story
Founded in 2008, Scholar Connections provided academic and community impact opportunities to local youth,
grant writing and youth program design services to Nonprofits. In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic forced us to rethink how we delivered in-person services during difficult times.
A year after pivoting to an online presence, we rebranded in 2022 to include the full scope of our services and returned to in-person services. A significant focus of our rebranding efforts was creating LifeWorks SC, a 501 c 3 organization that would encompass both our existing services and our new focus.
As advocates for individuals and families at risk of poverty and those living in low-moderate income communities, we advocate for equitable and ease of access to services.
As part of our core activities, we refer families to family stability services, conduct financial literacy workshops, offer academic and career coaching, and advocate for voter rights. For over a decade, we have empowered over 30,000 individuals to achieve their financial goals.
